Work Work Work!!! Work Goes on!

Work Work Work!!! Work Goes on!
SOUND!
Hello my friends! So, work continues on "The Slave and the Sorcerer", but good progress is being made. One of the most exciting things I received yesterday was the full stereo sound mix, and it seems we're getting 5.1 as well which is pretty awesome. I love the mix, and the music is totally epic as well. The main soundtrack is 80's synth, inspired by Deathstalker I and II, but in addition we've got 3 epic 80's power ballads thrown in too!
Altogether, it makes the film sound great. Also, I love the meaty impact sounds for all the fights. So, this is a movie that you'll want to watch with THUMPING BASE.
VISUALS
We're still working our way through VFX, I'd say we're about 90% to 92% done. Basically, we've just got to composite together our backgrounds for blue-screen shots, which we've already made. Make sure the chrome keying is nice and tidy, then whack on the grade.
ALSO... I completely regraded the movie. That, unfortunately has meant we're behind schedule a bit. But, it's worth it. You see, the film was looking too much like an SNL digital skit, (too shiny, too saturated, too clean, too bright and contrasted). With the regrade, I've been using film convert pro nitrate, to produce a super 16mm look, with added softness to create a much more authentic visual-scape that's reminiscent of the images in our retro look-book for shooting the film. I'm super pleased with the way it's looking now.
We're also just going through the visuals looking for vfx bugs, or dodgy frames etc. It's a pain in the bum, but necessary QC process.
CREDITS
Work on the end credits is about to start, and I'll be putting up the credits as an update so EVERYONE, and I mean EVERYONE can double check that they are credited properly. We do our best obviosuly, but it's easy to make a mistake with so many names, and the best way of ensuring no mistakes are made is by working together. So expect an end credits update in a week or two.
WHAT'S NEXT
All our priorities at the moment are focused on getting the film completed sometime this month, and of course work on our extras is on-going, with some just beginning. Based on the time for manufacture, I'd say we're looking at a February or March distribution date. Possibly sooner, but being XMAS and all, our manufacturers for blu-rays etc will probably be delayed.
But, the important thing is that the film is looking ultra bad-ass. Like, sick as I am with Covid right now... my spirits were raised while watching the latest print. It really captures what I hoped it would, with some great meaty action and some hilarious moments. So, of course I'm looking forward to you all seeing it.
In my next update you can expect more info about the Extras, and the End Credits confirmation!
CAN I DO ANYTHING TO SUPPORT YOUR WORK?
If your interested in Horror, we've got a project over here as well which we'll be working on after we've completed The Slave and the Sorcerer. http://kck.st/470TgYV

Huge News! New Video reveals our Stretch Goals, New Rewards & our 72 Hour Match Pledger!!!

New Video reveals our Stretch Goals
This is it, folks. Hand on my heart, this is the vision and purpose behind our stretch goals. However, we have a mountain to climb in order to reach them. We need everyone who believes in the return of Amicus Productions to please consider upgrading and chipping in even more today or over the next 72 hours, so that we can get closer to our stretch goals.
I say this humbly, as Amicus Productions is far more important than myself, but I have and will continue to devote my life to its revival. I know that the opportunity these buildings represent for the future of Amicus is truly something sacred. This belief is shared by a match pledger willing to match 50% of pledges made during the next 72 hours.
But, if I'm asking folks to chip in even more and to spread the word, what can they get in return? Today, we've added new, additional rewards to make things more exciting and interesting for our backers.
Following a great Victorian tradition, we've devised personal rewards that connect our pledgers to the buildings we propose to use for Amicus Productions. These rewards are available in three tiers: "Pledge for a Brick," "Your Name in Stone," and "Name a Room."
My favorite is "Your Name in Stone," which will see your name placed on a stone monument. However, for larger pledges, the "Name a Room" reward is particularly special, allowing us to name a room or part of the building after someone very special to you. The "Pledge for a Brick" reward follows a delightful tradition wherein the community would each buy a symbolic brick to fund a building. In this case, each pledger receives a beautiful certificate depicting the building they've helped Amicus to acquire, signed by me, along with a placement in our permanent online record of patrons, which will be made available on our website.
Please get in touch with any queries, questions or ideas you might have for these pledges, and we'll do our best to accommodate you.
Hex Studios & Hex Arcana Publishing is Helping too!
Indie Horror Studio Hex Studios, the famed creators of the Lord of Tears Owlman, and Hex Arcana Publishing are making their goodies available for our Amicus Productions campaign. I've produced many films with Hex Studios, which I've operated for years alongside Sarah Daly.
Now, you can pledge for any of our previous horror movies, which are also available in beautiful Special Editions—in regular, signed, or signed and dedicated versions. Furthermore, we also have two gorgeous books available for pledge, produced by Hex Arcana Publishing. These are hardback books of original horror short stories, crammed with beautiful illustrations by artist James Olley.
